چکیده

Abstract The use of concrete has always been an important construction material used throughout the industry in world. objective this study is to explore potential using lightweight block mixing with plastic waste and additional as a sustainable for constructing demising wall current industry. research conducted quantitatively through experiments test density strength materials. A series are based on two types plastics which Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) replacement coarse aggregate Polypropylene (PP) fibres corresponds percentage cement mass added into mix each different observe variations tests. findings show that 0.5 % showed outstanding results compressive compared control specimen PET specimen. However, if comparing amount recycled incorporated same size block, higher recycling rate 27 times PP fibres. From findings, will contribute wider range building materials choices designer or architect project.

Waste Polyethylene Terephthalate as an Aggregate in Concrete

This paper reports the strength behaviour of concrete containing three types of recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET) aggregate. Results are also analysed to determine the PET-aggregate’s effect on the relationship between the flexural and splitting tensile strengths and compressive strength and to know whether the relationships between compressive strength and other strength characteristic...

Performance of High-strength Concrete Made with Recycled Ceramic Aggregates

Recent scientific concerns to achieve sustainability in construction have suggested the implementation of using recycled aggregate in concrete because it has the potential to reduce the demand for extraction of natural raw materials and decrease the volume of wastes landfilled. In this respect, this study aims to investigate the suitability of using ceramic tile (CT) and ceramic sanitary (CS) w...

Metamorphosis in the Porosity of Recycled Concretes Through the Use of a Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) Additive. Correlations between the Porous Network and Concrete Properties

In the field of construction, sustainable building materials are currently undergoing a process of technological development. This study aims to contribute to understanding the behavior of the fundamental properties of concretes prepared with recycled coarse aggregates that incorporate a polyethylene terephthalate (PET)-based additive in their matrix (produced by synthesis and glycolysis of rec...

Enhancing the Dyeability of Polypropylene Fibers by Melt Blending with Polyethylene Terephthalate

Attempts were made to modify polypropylene fibers by melt blending with polyethylene terephthalate in order to enhance the dyeability of the resultant fiber. Five blends of polypropylene/polyethylene terephthalate/compatibilizer were prepared and subsequently spun into fibers. Three disperse dyes were used to dye such modified fibers at boiling and 130 °C. The dyeing performance of the blend fi...

Morphology and properties of microfibrillar composites based on recycled poly (ethylene terephthalate) and high density polyethylene

Microfibrillar composites (MFCs) from recycled high density polyethylene (R-HDPE)/recycled poly (ethylene terephthalate) (R-PET) (75/25 w/w) were made through reactive extrusion and post-extrusion strand stretching. The resultant MFCs could be processed at HDPE processing temperature. The compatibility between microfibers and R-HDPE matrix was improved through compatibilizers. Of the three comp...
